Snohomish County Food Bag Project The Snohomish County Food Project is a project started by the Snohomish County Rotaract Club. The goal of this project is to provide Snohomish County food banks with consistent supplies of non-perishable food items. Our Neighborhood Coordinators and team of volunteers go around to our food donor's doors, pick up a bag of food (bag is provided by us) and then deliver them to the food banks. It’s the easiest, most effective, most empowering way to organize community support for local food banks. Japanese Murder Hornet Trapping Snohomish County Rotaract is thrilled to be working alongside a network of individuals and community organizations in western Washington to prevent the establishment of the Asian giant hornet, or, more commonly referred to as, the murder hornet. The Department of Agriculture has asked citizens to construct, place, and monitor traps in and around their communities. By also registering the trap on WSDA’s website, scientists and eradication crews can more easily determine the locations of a nest, in coordination with other homegrown trapping data. Read more...
